Do you have a testimony? |
|
This year’s Lenten Offering will be split among several ministries that reach out to change lives everyday. Each of these ministries need the support of local United Methodist Churches like ours. I hope you will consider supporting these ministries through this year’s Lenten Offering. United Methodist Committee on Relief—This ministry is the first one on the ground when tragedy strikes anywhere in the world. Our youth group just partnered with them in mission work related to Hurricane relief on the Texas coast Wesleyan Homes—This ministry offers a wide range of services and ministry to senior adults. Located in Georgetown, Texas they seek to serve those older adults who need such caring. Last year our churches support ranked us 4th related to the financial support we offered this ministry from the churches in our conference. Church Growth and Development—This ministry is responsible for the planting of new churches in our conference. These dollars go directly to help start new churches. Last year the new church start at Rockbridge in Round Rock, Texas was supported by this ministry.

“ Do You Have a Testimony?” Scripture: Luke 24:36-48 This story is a post-resurrection story where Jesus once again surprises his followers by appearing before them behind locked doors. As he is with them he shares with them who he is and he opens them up to the scriptures and his work among them. He then empowers them to be a witness to all that he has shared with them. Have we experienced the p resence of Christ in our lives to the point that we have a testimony as to who Jesus is in our lives and as to what Jesus has done, is doing, and will continue to do for us? I Will See You on the Road, Travis
