Kids are special at Salado United Methodist!
SUMC is committed to providing a safe place where kids of all ages can learn about God in an exciting and active environment. Each child at SUMC is surrounded by God's love through caring adults and organized programs.
Children ages birth to 4 years old are welcome in our nursery. Sunday School Time is offered for ages 2 and 3 in the nursery from 9:30am - 10:30am.
Children (pre k 4 thru 2nd grade) are invited to attend the first part of the Sunday Morning Worship services, and are then dismissed before the sermon to go to Children's Church.

Salado United Methodist Church’s exciting Vacation Bible School, “HIGH SEAS EXPEDITION,” will be held July 12-16, 2010. Children who are 4 years old as of January 1, 2010 through completion of 5th grade are invited to join us each day from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Feel the sea spray on your face as sails snap overhead - and you and your crew experience the deep, rolling waters of God's Love! Easy to steer and easily the best time you will have all summer - this ship's for you!
Registration has begun. You can register on-line (click here), or by completing a paper registration form. To get a paper form, click here or stop by the church office to pick one up. Completed paper forms should be brought to the church office. There is no charge to attend VBS, but we do ask for a payment of $5.00 (payable at the church office before June 23rd) if your child wishes to receive a VBS t-shirt. We need adult volunteers - if you can help out, please stop by the office to sign-up. You can print out a volunteer sign-up card by clicking here.
Each October 31st, SUMC's parking lot is filled with cars and trucks decorated and packed with treats. Everyone from the community and surrounding areas are invited to attend this safe family activity. This year's Trunk-or-Treat will run from 530pm - 700pm. Free hot dogs, candy, hayrides, and games!
Each year, the children (grades 1-6) of SUMC put on a special Christmas Musical. Last year's production was "Camel Lot", and was by far the best musical ever! Watch for updates on the 2010 Musical.
